Hula with Saphira (Teresa Dickinson)

Saphira (Teresa Dickerson) will offer a Hula class. Deeply associated with the native traditions and cultural pride, the Hula has been part of Hawaiian culture since ancient times, and still plays an important role in the lives of the island people. Class participants will learn a Hawaiian Hula, including the hand, hip and foot movements that are part of the dance. Pursuing her dance studies, Saphira Teresa was introduced to the world of Middle Eastern or belly dance and has pursued the study of this intriguing dance form since 1999. Since then, she has added Polynesian and other culturally specific dances to her dance repertoire. Wear comfortable exercise clothes or a pareo.  Shoes are optional.
Kids are welcome.
